A wonderful trip which allowed lots of unique experiences of Japan. I thought meeting the Maiko in Kyoto might be a bit touristy but she was delightful and gave great insight into the life of a maiko, why she chose to be one and her daily life. Greatly enjoyed.

Itinerary

Good mix of places to visit in Japan using trains, Shinkansen, etc.

Lodging

All were clean and comfortable with delicious food. Especially loved Miyajima. The owners were wonderful. Kind, caring and Mama-San was a great cook.

Food

Didn’t have a bad meal anywhere.

Guides

Enjoyed having different guides and not the same person for 14 days. They are caring and knowledgeable.

Pre-Tour Handbook

Informative and useful.

Tour Organization

Well organised. Noriko at ST was very responsive to emails and queries. She has great customer service skills.

Tour Transportation

Use of trains, Shinkansen etc was great. Suica card was also useful.
