We asked for some customized changes and were able to visit everyplace we asked for and stay at least two nights at each hotel.

Enjoyed the variety of hotels from Western rooms to traditional ryokans. It was very helpful that the hotel name and address was listed in Japanese and English. When we would use a taxi to return to hotel, we could show the driver the Japanese name and address for our hotel. Three of the hotels had laundry facilities which was very helpful.

Having breakfast at the hotel each day really helped with getting a prompt start for sightseeing or catching the train, as the case by be. And the food was great.

Both guides were helpful and enjoyable. Keikosan, in Osaka, went above and beyond our expectations.

There were a couple points where we had to ask for clarification, but nothing that was a real problem.

Directions to catch trains and find hotels were most helpful. The guide we had for the first full day in Japan helped us get reserved seats on the major train segments.
