I do wish we didn\'t go to Takayama on the day of the week most shops were closed, or to the craft museum in Kanazawa the day of the week it was closed. That didn\'t seem like the best planning. I went on this tour a decade ago, and I enjoyed the bamboo forest that we went to back then and the Giant Budda statue you could go inside - I understand why those were cut, but they were nice too.

Loved the Ryokan in Hakone and Takayama!
