Hello, I am Hideki “Charlie” Inoue. I was born in Tokyo, and I have been working as a guide for almost 15 years. I have been working for Samurai Tours since 2009. People call me Charlie because, according to my wife, I look like Charlie Brown, the owner of Snoopy (the Peanuts cartoon in US). She says this because both of us are bald, and we both have a bit of a belly. I really enjoy working as a guide for Samurai Tours, and hope to meet as many clients as I can from the world to explore Japan together. I also enjoy teaching English to Japanese people.
I am very fond of classical music and a big fan of Beethoven. There is one of his piano sonatas that I really love so much. I like to stroll around the park to watch some small creatures. I especially tend to pay attention to the wild birds. Bulbul is one of my favorite birds, which rarely exists except in Japan and a few Asian countries.
Honestly speaking, whenever I hear that many people are suffering from this pandemic all over the world,
I always wonder if our previous clients are OK at this moment. Anyway, I sincerely hope everything will go back to normal soonest, and I can go back to be the old Charlie-the-guide with his little flag of baby Winnie-the-Pooh (design).
